For Emergency Human Needs
After a wide-ranging search conducted by Manpower beginning in December 2016 and with the affirmation of the Board of Directors of the Religious Coalition of Emergency Human Needs, we have agreed that Mr. Nick Brown, who has served as Director of Programs and Client Services for the past seven years, should be the new Executive Director.
Ms. Penny Larson generously donated forty six pairs of pajamas and forty three books to give to children in our Emergency Family Shelter program.
For the last several months we have been renovating the parsonage of Asbury United Methodist Church to convert the property into a homelike environment for the families in the family shelter program.
“I am always impressed with the Coalition’s vigor to communicate the needs of struggling individuals and families, and connect them to the resources that can truly bring sustaining change in families. Their proven leadership in compassion allows many people to maintain dignity in adverse situations and I am thankful to partner with them as a church in Frederick.”
